Native Plants & Pollinating Insects

November 1 @ 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Join Galveston County Master Gardeners Sue Bain and Hedy Wolpa for a presentation on native plants and the beneficial insects that they attract. Native plants are hardy, require minimal care, and help conserve water in your garden. A variety of native flowers, shrubs and grasses will be presented, with information about where and when to plant natives, bloom colors and sizes, and care requirements. Learn which beneficial butterflies, moths, bees, and other insects are attracted to specific native host plants for food and safe habitat while helping to pollinate your garden and control other garden pests.
