Landscaping in the Earth-Kind® Garden

August 22 @ 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
FREE

Explore the principles of beautiful, environmentally responsible landscaping in this two-part program with Galveston County Master Gardeners Judy Anderson and Steve Holliday.

In the classroom session, Steve will discuss site planning, plant selection, and sustainable cultivation practices that help create attractive landscapes while conserving resources and protecting the environment. Following the presentation, Judy will lead a guided walking tour of the Discovery Garden, highlighting how design elements such as color, texture, proportion, line, and scale work together in both plantings and hardscape features. Discover how thoughtful landscape design can transform any garden into a functional and visually appealing outdoor space.
