The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Fort Bend County, along with the Fort Bend County Master Gardeners, present Grow Your Own, (or GYO) a six-class program on creating a productive edible garden in the home landscape. Participants will learn how to start a garden, the keys to success, what to plant and when, and how to reap the benefits of year-round food production in Fort Bend County. All classes will combine indoor and outdoor lessons.

Registration in advance prior to each class or for the full series is recommended – $15 per class or $60 for all six classes (33% cost savings plus a certificate of completion for full program attendance.)  Walk-ins will be accepted. CASH OR CHECK payable to Fort Bend County Master Gardeners (or FBCMG).

This first class in the Grow Your Own program is Edible Garden Planning.

You will learn about site selection, setting up garden beds, container gardening, and planning for vegetables, fruit trees and other edibles.
