Learn more about the production of blackberries, strawberries and blueberries during a Saturday, June 26, Fruit Field Day in Alvin.
The program is presented from 8 a.m.-noon as part of the Urban Orchard Series and sponsors are Froberg’s Farm, Brazoria County AgriLife Extension and the Brazoria County Master Garden Association.
Admission is limited to 30 participants and will include a tour of Froberg’s orchard at 3601 Texas 6 in Alvin.

The program will begin with blackberry production, orchard establishment and pesticide maintenance followed by orchard tours facilitated by trailer/tractor.
Next on the program will be strawberry production including production notes and fall maintenance challenges.
The program ends with a focus on blueberry production including production notes and maintenance challenges followed by lunch.
