Lubbock County – Home Garden Tours

June 21 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

$20.00
  • « ONLINE – Bug-Friendly Yards
  • Waller County – Junior Master Gardener Camp »
  • The self-directed tour features five Lubbock area home gardens and the LMGA Demonstration Garden. It’s a great chance to see diverse garden styles, innovative design elements, sustainable garden practices, and creative solutions to common gardening challenges in the West Texas High Plains.
  • Ticket sales are online. Tickets are $20 for adults; kids under age 13 are free. On June 20, garden locations will be emailed to all ticket holders and publicized for those who want to buy tickets at one of the locations on the event day.
  • The tour may be started at any of the garden locations.
  • Each ticketholder will receive a guidebook with a map at the first garden they choose to visit.
  • Lubbock Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions and highlight areas of interest in each garden.
  • Many of the gardens are not wheelchair accessible or suitable for strollers. Comfortable shoes, a hat, and sunscreen are suggested. Photography is acceptable. This event takes place rain or shine.
  • Proceeds benefit the free educational outreach programs offered in Lubbock County by volunteers of the Lubbock Master Gardener Association (LMGA). LMGA programs include scholarships, free Sow & Grow Seed Libraries, school gardens, the ever-developing Demonstration Garden, and more.
