Collin County – Edible Gardening Workshop

Whether you’re planting your first garden or looking for a seasonal refresher, this Edible Gardening Workshop offers practical, research-based guidance for growing herbs and vegetables in Collin County and across North Texas.
The program features educational presentations and interactive demonstration tables led by the Collin County Master Gardeners Association. Attendees will have opportunities to observe demonstrations, review displays, and ask questions throughout the workshop.
Topics include:
  • Preparing herb and vegetable beds, including raised beds and site selection
  • Recommended herbs and vegetables for North Texas conditions
  • Seed basics include reading seed packets, seed preparation, and hardening off
  • Gardening fundamentals such as irrigation basics, soil health, composting, pollinators, and Earth-Kind Gardening practices
Light refreshments and handouts are included. This workshop is suitable for all experience levels. Advance registration is required. Doors open at 8:30 am.
