ADVANCED TRAINING: Plant Propagation – CLASS IS FULL

THIS CLASS IS FULL
Deadline to Register: April 1, 2026
Advanced Plant Propagation strengthens technical proficiency in both sexual and asexual propagation methods. The training emphasizes plant physiology, environmental management, sanitation standards, and systematic troubleshooting to ensure successful, repeatable outcomes.
The objective of Advanced Training is to equip Extension Master Gardeners with specialized knowledge that strengthens and expands county educational programming within the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. Advanced Training is intended strictly for public education and program support—not for personal use.
Guidelines
Advanced Training does not confer “expert” status. Rather, it prepares Extension Master Gardeners to support defined county initiatives and projects. Participants gain the subject-matter depth and practical skills necessary to lead programs, mentor fellow volunteers, and deliver high-quality presentations or demonstrations aligned with Extension standards.
Basic Requirements
To qualify for Advanced Training, applicants must:
- Hold current Extension Master Gardener certification
- Receive approval from their county Extension agent
Typically, each county may register up to two volunteers. A waitlist, if necessary, will be considered only after registration closes. At that time, the host county may allow one additional participant per county in waitlist order until capacity is reached, repeating the process as space allows.
