7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Master Gardener Information Booth and Produce Sales

9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – Garden Talks at the Booth

Join us at our Master Gardener Information Booth this summer at the Farmers’ Market where we’ll continue our tradition of teaching fun and interesting mini-classes with a gardening theme. Many of our speakers are creative types who’ll demonstrate their garden-related crafts while the Information Booth volunteers will be on hand to answer your gardening questions. Read the flyer, inset below, to learn more about the special activities planned for each Saturday morning.

Be on the lookout, too, for the new El Paso Gardening Handbook created by the El Paso County Master Gardeners for our area. It addresses El Paso specific gardening concerns and best practices. With sections on ornamentals, edibles, turf, native and adapted plants, woody plants, and climate, it will appeal to both experienced and novice gardeners. The handbook was written in cooperation with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and provides research-based information. The handbooks may be purchased for $10 each. For the vegetable and handbook sales, only cash is accepted, no credit cards.

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service training provides El Paso Master Gardeners with research-based horticulture information and resources to augment their wide range of experiences in gardening in the El Paso. Our Information Booths are stocked with a wealth of free publications on topics ranging from composting to growing roses and tomatoes. As produce becomes available in our demonstration garden, we will sell tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, cucumbers, and other vegetables.

Please stop by the El Paso Master Gardener Information Booth. We look forward to talking with you about your gardening concerns and answering your gardening questions.
