El Paso Master Gardeners are bringing their locally grown produce and Information Tables to you this summer on week days at an easy to access location near Ascarate Park. Come to our Summer Vegetable Sales being held twice a month on the grassy area outside the El Paso County Tax Office on Manny Martinez Sr. Drive. When the fresh produce is available from our nearby demonstration gardens we’ll be selling items such as eggplant, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, and hot peppers.

While you’re there, let us know if you have any plant questions. Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service training provides El Paso Master Gardeners with research-based horticulture information and resources to enhance our wide range of experiences in gardening in the El Paso. You can feel confident asking us about your vegetable and ornamental plants as well as insects and horticultural practices.

Be on the lookout, too, for the new El Paso Gardening Handbook created by the El Paso County Master Gardeners for our area. It addresses El Paso specific gardening concerns and best practices. With sections on ornamentals, edibles, turf, native and adapted plants, woody plants, and climate, it will appeal to both experienced and novice gardeners. The handbook was written in cooperation with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and provides research-based information. The handbooks may be purchased for $10 each. For the vegetable and handbook sales, only cash is accepted, no credit cards
