Pop-up Horticulture at the Learning Gardens

The Ellis County Master Gardeners invite the public to a Pop Up Horticulture Event on Thursday, April 19 at 9 a.m. in Getzendaner Park. Master gardeners will be preparing and planting their Culinary Garden bed. Varieties of tomatoes, peppers and herbs recommended for north Texas will be planted The public is invited to participate or just come and observe. There will be handouts for growing vegetables and herbs along with a number of master gardeners on hand to answer your questions. Look for the demonstration gardens on the left, on the hillside as you enter the park. If you can’t come then the park is always open to visitors and the gardens are there for the public to enjoy and learn. Please stop by.
