Scholarship

The DCMGA Horticultural Scholarship was created to assist and encourage students enrolled in the study of horticulture or other gardening-related subjects.  The $1000 scholarship is awarded annually to any Denton County resident who is currently enrolled in a horticulture or related major at any college or university.  The scholarship is typically funded through proceeds from the annual DCMGA Plant Sale and Garden Tour.  The Denton County Master Gardeners may provide additional $1000 scholarships depending on benefactor donations and successful fund raising.

Scholarship applicants will be reviewed through the Denton Youth Fair/Blue Ribbon Club in conjunction with the DCMGA Scholarship Committee.  The scholarships are awarded at the Denton Youth Fair banquet.

Please use the Blue Ribbon Club application to apply.  The link provides instructions, cut-off date, and documentation requirements.
