Horticulture Agent


Janet Laminack
is the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Horticulture Agent for Denton County.
  Janet began working for Denton County as the county Extension agent in horticulture in September 2008. She received her B.S. in horticulture from Texas A&M University as well as a Masters of Education in agricultural education.  Her previous experience includes working as a horticultural therapist at Denver Botanic Gardens for several years and as the horticulture Extension agent in Taylor County (Abilene, Texas).  Most recently, Janet served 28 months in the Peace Corps in Ecuador, South America where she provided technical assistance to impoverished families in fourteen communities in organic vegetable gardens.  Janet is a native Texan who has lived in many small towns around the state.
