Volunteer with Bastrop County Master Gardeners

Are you passionate about gardening and looking for a way to give back to your community? Join the Bastrop County Master Gardeners during our Volunteer Work Days and help us make a difference around town! All levels of experience are welcome, and we offer a friendly and inclusive environment for learning and sharing.

Help us cultivate a greener, healthier Bastrop County! We can’t wait to grow with you!

Volunteer Days

Bob Bryant Park: 600 Charles Blvd, Bastrop, TX 78602

  • Monday, 5/11with Crystal from 9:00 – 10:00am
  • Thursday, 5/14 with Rudy from 9:00 – 11:00am
  • Sunday, 5/17 with Rudy from 4:00 – 5:30pm

Butterfly Garden at Cedar Creek Park: 5540 FM 535, Cedar Creek, TX 78612

We invite you to join us as we care for our native plants that support butterflies, bees, and other pollinators throughout the year. Winter activities may include light pruning, mulching, seed collection, planting, weeding, and general garden maintenance. We look forward to welcoming you at one of our upcoming Tuesday mornings. Your help truly makes a difference in keeping the garden healthy and ready for spring.

  • Tuesdays with Marianna from 10:00 – 12:00pm

Downtown Bastrop Planters: 711 Spring Street, Bastrop TX 78602

Join us to care for the planters placed around downtown Bastrop. These planters are an exciting project because it puts our work in front of thousands of shoppers every month  Meet in the parking lot across Spring Street from the Opera House. 

  • Tuesdays with Joni & Lesley starting at 9:30am
