2010 Grant Winners
July 13, 2010 – Tammie Shelton, (left) Executive Director of Camp Aranzazu, accepts a grant in the amount of $1000 for a Xeriscape Garden from Ellen Reisinger, President of the Aransas/San Patricio Master Gardener Association.
July 13, 2010 – Nan Jackson, (left) Education Chairman of the Aransas/San Patricio Master Gardeners, presents Jaime Cupit, the Executive Director of the Odyssey After-School Enrichment Program, a grant of $1000 to add a “Nature Trackers” component beginning the next school year.
July 22, 2010 – Teacher Martha McLeod, of the Fulton Learning Center was awarded a grant of $1100 from the Aransas/San Patricio Master Gardeners for a children’s project dealing with “Plants, Bees and Butterflies”.
July 26, 2010 – Alison Harbour, left, Science Coordinator, Nelda Hill, Grade 3 Science Teacher, and Robin Rice, right, Principal of Live Oak Learning Center, received a Master Gardener Grant of $350 for a school project on composting.
July 26, 2010 – Science Coordinator Alison Harbour, left, Leasa Harrington, Science Teacher, and Live Oak Learning Center Principal Robin Rice accept an $800 grant from the Aransas/San Patricio Master Gardeners to “Save the Rain”, a rainwater catchment project.
July 26, 2010 – Robin Rice, Principal of Live Oak Learning Center, right, and Alison Harbour, Science Lab Coordinator accept a $380 grant from the Aransas/San Patricio Master Gardeners for Gail Nguyen’s application of “More Live Oak Gardens”.
August 12, 2010 – Rosalinda Silva, Principal, left, Jerry Plemons, Science Teacher at Odem Junior High School, is presented a certificate and $750 check for his project entitled “Odem’s Going Green” by Beth Wilson, Treasurer of the Aransas/San Patricio Master Gardeners.
