2026 Texas Master Gardener Conference

Following the intensive four-day International Master Gardener Conference hosted by Texas in 2025—which was truly exceptional, drawing record-breaking attendance and setting a new benchmark for scope, energy, and engagement—we are intentionally lightening the load this year. To provide space for rest, reflection, and renewal after such a remarkable undertaking, we are offering a streamlined one-day conference, paired with a focused Leadership session.

The Restorative Garden is a one-day virtual conference designed especially for Texas Master Gardeners, focused on renewal—of landscapes, knowledge, and the volunteers who steward them. Centered on the idea that healthy gardens, like people, need periods of rest, restoration, and thoughtful care, the conference explores what happens after a garden is established and how we sustain it for the long term.

Through engaging sessions led by AgriLife specialists and experienced practitioners, participants will dive into topics such as soil recovery, plant resilience, integrated pest management, habitat restoration, and strategies for rejuvenating overworked or aging landscapes. Just as importantly, The Restorative Garden creates space for Master Gardeners themselves to pause, reflect, and reconnect with their purpose.

This one-day gathering offers practical education, meaningful conversation, and renewed inspiration—sending participants home better equipped, re-energized, and ready to guide their communities in restoring both gardens and the people who care for them.

*A half-day Leadership Training will be held on April 28, 2026.
