Berry Springs Park and Preserve

Berry Springs Park and Preserve is a Williamson County Park on the outskirts of Georgetown. It is a wonderful place that the WCMG have become involved with. Work days are held regularly and there is always volunteer opportunities available. Contact Susan for information, she would love to have you come out and help.

Seed Cleaning at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center

Seed Cleaning at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is a wonderful program that provides a volunteer and learning experience. Participants will be helping to clean seeds destined for the Millennium Seed Bank in Kew Gardens England. Seed cleaning parties are held monthly but other opportunities are available. Note: Cleaning parties are currently on hold due to the drought, no further seed cleanings are scheduled at this time. Check back, or the Calendar, to see when seed cleaning will resume.

The WCMG are currently establishing a test vegatable garden area at the WC Extension office and will provide valuable volunteer opportunities throughout the year.


Earthkind Rose Garden — Contact Wayne Rhoden

The WCMG has established a Rose Garden containing most of the Earthkind® varieties at the WC Extension office near the vegetable beds and will provide valuable volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
