Spring Plant Selections

It is time to start thinking about the spring vegetable garden.  It’s time to add a layer of compost to your garden and let it rest until the ground begins to warm then till it in and plant.    You can get a head start if you use frost cloth to protect your tender plants.  One great advantage to this is that you can have mature vegetables before the bugs get really bad.  I know that if I get my tomatoes in early, then I can start harvesting before those darn leftfooted bugs get a hold of them.   I look forward to the plant sale and the great selection of heirloom tomatoes that have been grown by all those talented Master Gardeners!!!
