Big Country Master Gardeners want to help you when you have questions about gardening.
We can help with:
- Recommendations for plants that grow well in the Big Country and for plants that won’t grow here.
- Identification and recommendations for gardening problems.
- Questions about native plants, watering, pruning, pest control, fertilizers, and more.
You can ask questions in three ways:
- Use this online form: Ask a Big Country Master Gardener Online
- Send us an email at mgardeners@yahoo.com
- Call the Master Gardener Hotline at 325-672-6048. During business hours ask for the Master Gardener line. After hours, your call will go to our voicemail.
The online form, calls, and email are monitored on a daily basis. We may need some time to research your question, but we promise to respond to let you know what we are doing to get you an answer.
However you contact us, please leave the following information:
- Your name
- Your contact information (phone number and best time to call, and/or your email address.)
- Where you live (physical address)
- And don’t forget to ask your question or explain your problem in detail. If you have a plant in trouble or a bug you need identified, it is helpful to send us a picture. Be sure to tell us where the plant is located, how long you’ve been growing the plant, when the problem started, and if anything has changed in your landscape.
