As Part of our responsibility we also work with other volunteer groups to teach the community as well as improve it. These are some shared projects.
By invitation we were invited to Fossil Rim for the Earth Day Celebration. We had plants for sale and information about Rain Water Harvesting and becomming a Master Gardener.

Dottie Marks Members of the Somervell County Master Gardener’s and friends met on Wednesday, May 21 at the AgriLife Extension office to dedicate a Vitex tree to the late Dottie Marks. A Vitex tree is an adaptive tree/shrub that produces beautiful bluish/purple flowers during the summer months. Dottie was a beloved founding member of the local Master Gardeners group and served for many years as their Treasury/Secretary. During this time she provided an extensive service in developing the group’s by-laws and constitution. In addition she was a dedicated worker in the flower beds too. Her smile and her positive attitude always enlightened her fellow gardeners.
