Welcome to Orange, County, Texas. We are in the SouthEast corner of Texas or if you are looking at a map we are on the right-hand side. We are next to Louisiana and just above the Gulf of Mexico. We are in Zone 9 for plant hardiness and Zone 8/9 for plant heat per the American Horticultural Society. We have a diverse geography going from marsh, swamp, to piney woods. Orange has a humid subtropical climate. Winters can be warm at times and rainy while summers are hot, humid and wet but also can be dry. According to ‘The Southern Living Garden Book’, Orange is in the Coastal South.
Our meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Orange County EXPO and Convention Center at 11475 FM 1442, Orange. At 6:00PM we start off with a potluck supper and soical, 6:30PM we have our business meeting and at 7:00PM we have a speaker. For more information please use our Contact Page.
