Rainwater Harvesting Workshop

The Fannin County AgriLife Extension Service – Master Gardeners will hold a Rainwater Harvesting Workshop for home owners at the County Extension office, South Annex , 210 South Main Street, Bonham. The workshop will begin at 1 PM with Dotty Woodson, Ed. D, Extension Program Specialist-Water Resources, Texas AgriLife Extension Service, Dallas Research and Extension Center.Dotty will present rainwater harvesting and irrigation. Information and handouts will be provided and Master Gardeners will assist each participant in assembling a rain barrel. An outdoor demonstration will demonstrate how to install drip irrigation from the rain barrel to the landscape. This will be an instructional and hands on workshop, and attendees will receive a complete 32 gallon rain barrel to take home.

Bonham Building Supply, our local True Value Hardware is our local business partner. They will be helping with the cost of the barrels and fittings. so particpants cost for the workshop is $30. Please pre-register by April 23rd because space is limited.
