For several years, El Paso Master Gardeners have staffed a booth at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing Farmers’ Market to answer questions from the public and provide them with educational materials. During the Market, held on Saturday mornings from Memorial Day Weekend until the middle of October, they also present 30 minute “Garden Talks” which cover a variety of pertinent gardening topics. As produce becomes available in their demonstration garden, Master Gardeners sell tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and other vegetables. In addition, during the 2010 season, they participated in the upper valley Outlet Mall Farmers’ Market.
