Kids In Bloom

After 6.5 years as chair of Kids in Bloom, Nancy Pappas is resigning from that position. For those of you who don’t know, Nancy has been in that position since she became a Master Gardener in 2005. She will remain a Master Gardener and will help the new chair and give advice when needed. Alba Johannessen will remain the co-chair. So we are looking for at least one person who would like to continue the program and organize the spring planting and other projects. So please think about this opening! Memorial and Seele Elementary schools are actively seeking volunteers. If you would like to participate, contact Alba Johannessen (2Johans@sbcglobal.net or 830-620-4453). There is also an urgent need for volunteers for Oak Creek Elementary School and Startzville Elementary Schools. They need donations of perennial butterfly/hummingbird plants, winter veggies and cover crops for immediate planting, as well as advice on plant selection.
